Nursery Teaching Assistant
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Salary: £90-£120 per day (dependent on experience)

Contract Type: Full-Time / Flexible A welcoming and nurturing nursery setting in Stockton-on-Tees is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join their team. This Nursery Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young children's early development and helping them build a positive foundation for their educational journey. The successful Nursery Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to support children through engaging, creative and play-based activities. As a Nursery Teaching Assistant , you will help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can learn, develop and thrive. Key Responsibilities of the Nursery Teaching Assistant: * Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities. * Assisting with daily classroom and nursery routines. * Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required. * Supporting children's communication, language and social development. * Encouraging independence, confidence and positive relationships. * Assisting with creative, sensory and outdoor learning activities. * Supporting children's personal care needs where required. * Observing and monitoring children's progress and development. * Helping to maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment. The Ideal Nursery Teaching Assistant Will: * Have previous experience working with young children or within an Early Years setting. * Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (desirable). * Have a good understanding of the EYFS framework. * Be caring, patient, enthusiastic and adaptable. * Have excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Be passionate about supporting children's early learning and development. * Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply). * Have a fully checkable work history.
