LKS2 Teacher - Oxford - January 2026

Are you a versatile LKS2 Teacher who enjoys teaching across Years 3 and 4, building strong foundations and raising aspirations? A warm and ambitious primary school in Oxford is recruiting a committed LKS2 Teacher to join their phase team from January 2026.

This LKS2 Teacher role in Oxford will involve designing coherent sequences that develop reading comprehension, writing craft and mathematical reasoning across lower Key Stage 2. The LKS2 Teacher will lead guided reading, model high-quality writing, run targeted numeracy interventions and support pupils’ social and emotional development. Induction and detailed handover will be provided before January 2026, ensuring the LKS2 Teacher can begin the spring term confident and fully briefed for their classes in Oxford.

Role responsibilities

• Plan and teach sequenced LKS2 lessons that develop cumulative knowledge and skills.

• Lead guided-reading groups, writing units and maths reasoning sessions to strengthen outcomes.

• Deliver small-group interventions, monitor impact and refine approaches to accelerate progress.

• Collaborate with TAs and phase colleagues to adapt resources and support inclusion across Oxford.

• Maintain accurate assessment records and communicate progress to families and leaders.

Person specification

• Qualified teacher with strong, recent LKS2 experience and demonstrable impact in Years 3–4.

• Skilled at using assessment to inform teaching and at designing high-impact interventions.

• Positive, resilient and keen to contribute to the Oxford school’s development; available to start January 2026.
