Associate Director - Building Surveying
Location: Didsbury
Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 DOE Bennett & Game are currently representing an ambitious, multidisciplinary building consultancy that is looking to appoint an Associate Director to strengthen its growing Manchester team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor to take a senior role within the business, with the scope to play a key part in the continued development of the Manchester office. The business is looking for a commercially minded Associate Director who can bring strong technical Building Surveying experience alongside the ability to develop client relationships, identify opportunities and contribute to the wider growth of the team. The role will suit someone who is confident operating at a senior level, enjoys working closely with clients and is looking for genuine responsibility within a growing consultancy. The successful Associate Director will take a senior position within the Manchester Building Surveying team, working across a varied portfolio of consultancy instructions whilst helping to develop the office commercially. You will be expected to take ownership of projects and client relationships, provide high-quality technical advice and identify opportunities for further work. The role will also involve supporting and developing more junior members of the team, working closely with the existing Chartered Surveyors and helping shape the continued growth of the Manchester operation. The role will include: Providing Building Surveying services across a varied client portfolio
Taking responsibility for a range of Building Surveying projects and instructions
Managing key client relationships and acting as a senior point of contact
Developing new and existing client relationships
Identifying and pursuing opportunities for additional work
Providing technical advice and professional Building Surveying services
Undertaking building surveys, inspections and site visits
Preparing professional reports, specifications and schedules of work
Supporting project delivery from inception through to completion
Undertaking contract administration and project-related work
Liaising with clients, contractors and other professional consultants
Attending client meetings, site inspections and project meetings
Supporting and mentoring junior members of the Building Surveying team
Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the Manchester officeAssociate Director - Building Surveying Job Requirements: Significant experience within Building Surveying consultancy
Strong technical Building Surveying background
Commercially minded with an understanding of business development and client management
Confident managing client relationships and winning repeat business
Experience managing Building Surveying projects from inception through to completion
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive approach with the ability to work autonomously
Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline
MRICS is desirable but not essential
Candidates who are not yet Chartered but can demonstrate Associate Director-level capability will also be considered
