Lead Environmental Consultant - Oil & Gas - Aberdeen

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a bold, future-focused consultancy that is redefining how energy is delivered — responsibly, sustainably, and with people at its core. Based in Edinburgh and undergoing rapid expansion, this innovative firm is seeking a dynamic leader to head up their newly established Environmental Team within the oil and gas division. The OpportunityAs the Lead Environmental Consultant, you’ll play a critical role in technical delivery, business growth, and team development. You will drive forward best-in-class environmental services and provide strategic leadership to both clients and colleagues. This is a chance to take ownership of something new, shape its direction, and leave a legacy within a business that values ambition and performance.
Your Responsibilities Act as the technical lead for environmental support across UK oil and gas projects
Manage end-to-end project delivery, from feasibility through to decommissioning
Build and grow long-term client relationships and industry partnerships
Mentor junior staff and contribute to recruitment of new team members
Lead proposal writing, budget management, and ensure high-quality delivery standards
Your Profile
Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) or equivalent, with a relevant environmental degree
Proven consultancy experience within the UK oil and gas sector
Strong project management and leadership skills
Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
Expertise in authoring and reviewing technical reports and regulatory submissions
