Development Trusts NI is recruiting a HR Management Apprentice to join our small Belfast-based team while studying for Ulster University’s BSc (Hons) Human Resource Management Degree Apprenticeship. This is an opportunity to learn the HR profession through meaningful, hands-on work. You will support people administration, membership development, our CRM, projects, events, organisational planning and the everyday systems that help DTNI deliver for communities across Northern Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Four days helping a purpose-led organisation work effectively and grow. One protected study day each week.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Applicants must meet the relevant Ulster University and Department for the Economy Higher Level Apprenticeship eligibility requirements.
• Good organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to follow tasks through accurately and on time.
• Clear, respectful and inclusive written and verbal communication.
• Ability to handle confidential information carefully and recognise when a matter should be escalated.

Desirable Skills

• No previous HR experience is required. We are looking for potential, curiosity, strong organisation and communication skills with a genuine interest in people and how organisations work.
• Experience of using a database or CRM, maintaining records, supporting a project or helping organise an event.
• Awareness of the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector in Northern Ireland.
• Interest in HR, business, psychology, community development, social enterprise, events, data or digital systems.
