Your new firm:

Our client is a highly respected national advisory practice with a standout employment tax offering across the North .
Following significant growth and consistent new wins in the advisory and transactions space , they are now looking to expand their Employment Tax team with ambitious Consultants and Senior Consultants .
Led by ex-Big 4 specialists with a genuinely collaborative leadership style , this is a chance to join a well-established, growing department where you'll have real autonomy and fast development.

Your new role:

As an Employment Tax Consultant / Senior Consultant , you'll work closely with senior leadership and a high-performing advisory team , delivering complex employment tax advice to clients ranging from fast-growing mid-market businesses to large multinationals .
You'll support and lead on advisory projects, HMRC interactions, due diligence work, remuneration reviews, and technical research , with opportunities to take ownership of relationships and support business development as you progress.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting clients in understanding complex tax legislation and HMRC interpretations

• Supporting employment tax aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligences

• Researching case law and preparing technical analyses

• Advising on employee remuneration: salary, equity, benefits, expenses

• Managing HMRC liaison and dispute work

• Drafting client advice, reports, and HMRC correspondence

• Participating in client meetings and leading where appropriate

• Supporting junior team members and contributing to an inclusive team culture

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• ATT qualified, and either ACA/CTA part-qualified or qualified (or equivalent)

• Strong understanding of employment tax legislation and its application

• Excellent communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage workload under pressure

• Experience engaging directly with clients and contributing to business development

• A team-first mindset with the ability to build relationships at all levels
