Job description
To deliver a comprehensive, customer-focused housing management service that supports sustainable tenancies, strong communities, and excellent customer outcomes. The Housing Officer will manage a designated patch of properties, ensuring effective tenancy management, rent collection, lettings, estate management, and the resolution of tenancy issues, while working collaboratively with customers, colleagues, and partner agencies to provide safe, inclusive, and thriving communities in line with Woven’s values and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive housing management service.
- Manage tenancy issues and breaches of tenancy conditions, including anti-social behaviour, neighbour disputes and other complex cases, gathering evidence and attending court proceedings where required.
- Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns, vulnerability, support needs and risk factors, making referrals and working with appropriate agencies to support tenancy sustainment.
- Allocate properties in line with policies and procedures, ensuring efficient lettings and minimising void loss.
- Undertake estate management activities including inspections, monitoring environmental standards, contractor performance, health and safety compliance, and service delivery.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Hold a Level 4 qualification or equivalent in Housing Management and one year’s relevant experience of working in a housing management environment, or three years’ relevant experience of working in a housing management environment.
- Relevant experience of working in a housing management environment, including voids, allocations, debt recovery and dealing with anti-social behaviour.
- Experience in the proficient use of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders and customers in a confidential and professional manner.
- Experience using a housing management computerised management information system to input, retrieve and analyse data and generate reports.
- Current full, preferably clean, driving licence allowing driving in the UK, with use of a private vehicle for business use.
