Private Rental Housing Officer

At Clanmil our tenants are at the heart of what we do, and we want to provide more great homes for families that need them. As Private Rental Housing Officer you will be involved in all aspects of day-to-day operation of a portfolio of properties, including tenant relations, accounting, maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Issue welcome letter to all new tenants to include Clanmil useful information, points of contact, methods of payments and emergency repairs details.
• Responsible for day-to-day management of private market rentals, equity share and homeowner properties. Ensuring tenants are adhering to lease terms in respect of repairs obligations and payment of monies due under the terms of the lease.
• Liaise with estate agents and development teams to ensure applications and lease agreements are processed in a timely manner. Ensure important tenancy documents are completed and recorded as legally required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Degree in Estate management, Housing or related discipline AND at least two year’s recent experience in a similar role (within the last 7 years). Exceptional candidates who do not hold a degree but have 5 years recent experience.
• Knowledge of the law relating to property, land, buildings, estate management and valuation.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.

Further Information

Salary: £41,041.78 pro rata per annum (for 15 hours salary - £16,638.60 per annum).
