Teaching Assistant - SEN & General Classroom Support
Haringey, N11 (commutable from Bounds Green, Wood Green, Muswell Hill, Arnos Grove, Palmers Green)
£105-£120 per day
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
The school is looking for someone positive, reliable and engaging who can build strong relationships with pupils and become a consistent presence across the school. About the Role
Working closely with teachers and the SENCo, your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
* Providing general classroom support during lessons and activities
* Delivering 1:1 and small-group SEN support where required
* Supporting pupils with needs including ASD, ADHD and speech & language difficulties
* Helping maintain positive behaviour and classroom engagement
* Supporting interventions in reading, writing and maths
* Building positive relationships with pupils and staff across the school
This role offers excellent variety and would suit someone who enjoys both classroom support and more targeted SEN work. Ideal Candidate Profile
* Experience working within a primary school setting
* Comfortable supporting pupils across different age groups
* Understanding of SEN and inclusive classroom practice
* Calm, adaptable and able to build rapport quickly
* Proactive, reliable and committed to a long-term role
