About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic English ECT to join an Ofsted ‘Good’comprehensive school in Colchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career within a supportive English faculty, teaching across KS3 and KS4.
The school offers a robust ECT induction programme, pairing you with an experienced subject mentor and reducing your timetable in your first year to allow for professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English Language and Literature across KS3–KS4.
- Support student progress and prepare pupils for GCSE success.
- Engage with ECT mentoring and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to enrichment including debating and theatre.
- Reflect on your teaching practice and continuously improve.

- Degree in English or related subject.
