Protocol Education are currently working with a thriving Secondary School in Gloucestershire, looking for a 1:1 SEND Pupil Support.
The school is a large, modern building with space, community, outstanding learning and well-being at the heart of everything they do. The school is known for it's sports curriculum and contribution to Expressive Arts.
Role required
Pupil Support 1:1 with a young person with anxiety and behaviour needs
Start date: Monday 7th September
Days & Hours: Monday - Friday, term time only. 815am - 330pm
Pay: £14.25 - £15.38 per hour (dependent on experience)
Skill set: Experience working with young people/healthcare background/youth worker background/Sports coaches
Expectations
- To work collaboratively with the student to support and engage them into school and lessons
- Offer a approach that is supportive and considerate of the students individual needs
- Lead with strong behaviour management and leadership to promote positive behaviour and expectations
- Differentiate work and tasks that co-ordinate in line with the students EHCP plan
- Work effectively with the staff team, specifically the SENCO
- To minimise disruption and change as much as possible
- Offer learning opportunities that interest and support the young person's ability and development
