School Site Supervisor

Smile Education are currently recruiting for an experienced School Site Supervisor to start from next week at a Secondary School in the Perry Barr area

The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out a range of site management duties including opening and locking the school, general site maintenance, painting, moving furniture and equipment, grounds maintenance using equipment such as strimmers, and ensuring the school site remains safe, clean, and well-presented throughout the summer period.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Supervisor or Caretaker to join a welcoming school team on a full-time temporary basis until the end of the summer. The expected salary range for the role is £16.23 - £18.00 per hour , depending on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Opening and locking the school site each day
• Carrying out general site maintenance and repairs
• Painting and decorating where required
• Moving tables, chairs, and other school furniture
• Undertaking grounds maintenance, including using equipment such as strimmers
• Maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and security of the school site
• Reporting any maintenance issues or health and safety concerns
• Supporting the school with general site duties as required
• Working in a proactive and organised manner to ensure the site is well maintained

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience working as a School Site Supervisor, Caretaker, or Site Manager
• Be confident carrying out general maintenance and DIY tasks
• Have experience using grounds maintenance equipment, including strimmers
• Be reliable, professional, and self-motivated
• Have a good understanding of health and safety procedures within a school environment
• Be able to work independently and manage a varied workload
