Service Delivery Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Service Delivery Manager to join our Technical Services team in Liverpool .

The Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of technical services at the site, leading the engineering team and ensuring planned and reactive maintenance is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of the site-based engineering team, ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance is completed to the required standards and in line with agreed service levels.
• Manage the operational performance of technical services across the site, ensuring contractual KPIs and client expectations are consistently achieved.
• Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the client, acting as a key point of contact for technical service delivery.
• Coordinate effectively with the Helpdesk and engineering team to ensure tasks are fully closed out with clear and comprehensive job sheets and compliance documentation.
• Lead, support and develop the engineering team, driving performance, standards and continuous improvement.
• Act as a point of escalation for operational and technical issues, ensuring problems are managed through to resolution.
• Work through technical issues and challenges to identify practical and effective solutions.
• Supervise and manage the team to deliver a consistently high standard of service to the client.
• Maintain a good commercial understanding of the contract and wider business requirements.
• Promote a proactive, ‘can-do’ approach, ensuring tasks within the team’s capabilities are completed safely and in a timely manner.

Essential Hiring Criteria

• Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
• Technically qualified with a strong understanding of building services and technical infrastructure.
• Previous experience supervising or managing an engineering maintenance team.
• Experience of driving continuous improvement in engineering and maintenance standards.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Assurance procedures.
• Experience of supervising, supporting and developing operational teams.
• Good IT skills, including MS Office and relevant technical software.
• Experience using CAFM systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and planning skills, with the ability to take ownership of issues through to resolution.
• Confident working with clients and stakeholders, managing expectations and representing technical service delivery at client meetings.
• A strong team leader with the ability to set standards, motivate others and create a positive and proactive working environment.
