Learning Support Assistant (Full-Time)
HP12| Primary School Setting
ASAP/September Start | Long-term Opportunity Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the HP12 area to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA). As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils' learning, both in the classroom and through targeted interventions. You will play a key role in helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: * Supporting pupils' learning in the classroom, both 1:1 and in small groups
* Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and preparation of resources
* Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs (SEN)
* Encouraging pupils' confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
* Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
* Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
* Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress to the class teacher
* Working collaboratively with teachers, staff, and external professionals Requirements * Previous experience working with children (school-based experience desirable)
* A patient, supportive, and positive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
* A genuine passion for supporting children's development
* Ability to work full-time in Maidenhead from September Desirable: * Experience supporting pupils with SEN
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant qualification)
