1:1 SEN Support Assistant

We are currently recruiting dedicated and nurturing 1:1 SEN Support Assistants to work across a range of mainstream primary schools. This role involves providing individual support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships within the school environment. The Role Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, and learning difficulties.Support pupils both in the classroom and during unstructured times such as break and lunch.Implement strategies to help pupils remain engaged and focused during lessons.Encourage independence, social interaction, and emotional development.Work closely with class teachers, SENDCOs, and other professionals to support pupil progress.Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. The Ideal Candidate Has previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, or support setting.Experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable.Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience.Is confident building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.Can remain calm and proactive in challenging situations.Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
