An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Charge Nurse in ED with developing managerial and leadership skills, to add to our already enthusiastic and committed team. The successful applicant will be required to deliver patient care and manage all areas within the department demonstrating professionalism, clinical expertise with excellent communication skills in all aspects of their work. We offer a structured induction programme and on-going supportive mentorship. Hours per week: 37.5 We welcome applications from Graduate visa holders; it is important to note that you must have a minimum of 6 months before this expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons. You will be designated to take charge of the department on a regular basis. You will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient and nursing staff activities. You will be required to provide support to the Senior Sister and Matron, participating fully in the development of initiatives which support the improvement of patient care. You will be required to take responsibility as the named Nurse for a defined group of patients in Emergency Department. The post holder will work with minimal supervision in the assessment of all relevant care needs and in the development, implementation and evaluation of programme of care. About us
