A specialist SEND school in Newcastle is looking for a dedicated TA to support pupils with physical and medical needs , helping them access learning and become as independent as possible.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing tailored one-to-one and small-group support.
• Supporting pupils with physical and medical needs.
• Helping pupils access the curriculum.
• Adapting activities and resources.
• Supporting the use of assistive technology.
• Setting up and managing specialist equipment.
• Supporting communication and independence.
• Building positive relationships with pupils.
• Working alongside teachers and specialist staff.
• Sharing observations and feedback on pupil progress.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Previous SEND experience.
• Experience or understanding of physical and/or medical needs.
• Good ICT skills.
• A patient and proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and organisation.
• The ability to adapt to individual pupil needs.
• A full, clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle – essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
