SENCO - Close-Knit Primary School in Manchester - April...

A warm and close-knit primary school in Manchester is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SENCO to lead its SEND provision from April. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate SENCO to join a supportive school community where staff work closely together to ensure every child is given the opportunity to succeed.

The successful SENCO will oversee all aspects of SEND provision, ensuring that pupils with additional needs are effectively supported within a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The Role

The school is looking for an organised and caring SENCO who can lead SEND provision while building strong relationships with staff, families, and external agencies.

Key responsibilities of the SENCO include:

  • Leading and managing SEND provision across the school

  • Overseeing and reviewing EHCPs and support plans

  • Coordinating interventions and monitoring pupil progress

  • Supporting teachers with inclusive classroom strategies and differentiation

  • Liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals

  • Ensuring compliance with SEND legislation and school policies

  • Hold QTS and the National Award for SEN Coordination (or be willing to complete it)

  • Be passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs
