Based at an established, premium stud farm in the heart of Co. Meath, this role is perfect for a talented individual looking to step up, run their own ship, and prove their capabilities on a grand scale. You will have the autonomy to produce high-value bloodstock to the highest industry standards. The owner is looking for a self-starter who wants to prove they can do it alone, with full financial, administrative, and structural support from ownership. If you have the skill to educate young thoroughbreds and the drive to manage an elite setup from day one, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Breeze-Up Preparation: Manage the full preparation cycle for breeze-up candidates, ensuring horses are fit, educated, professionally schooled, and peaking for the sales. Breaking & Education: Lead the ground handling, backing, and early education of thoroughbred youngstock, ensuring a confident, professional foundation. Pre-Training & Fitness: Oversee daily exercise, long-reining, riding, and fitness regimes tailored to individual bloodstock requirements. Yard Setup & Systems: Assist the owner in finalizing workflows, daily routines, and standards of the new breaking and pre-training unit. Yard Management: Take full responsibility for daily horse care, feeding, stable management, and maintaining immaculate yard standards.
