Enterprise and Employability Facilitator 0.53 FTE
£18.5k - £19.6k per annumThe Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Enterprise and Employability Facilitator to support young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in developing employability skills and progressing into meaningful work.
You will play a vital role in coaching and supporting students through employability sessions, work placements and social enterprise activities, helping them to build confidence, independence and real-world work skills. Working closely with families, employers and external agencies, you will help remove barriers to employment and create inclusive, supportive employment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and coach young people with SEND to develop employability, work and interpersonal skills
Facilitate employability skills sessions within students’ timetabled programmes
Establish, manage and support work placements and social enterprise opportunities, both on campus and in the local community
Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, families, external agencies and college colleagues
Track, monitor and record student progress, maintaining accurate and high ‑ quality records
Carry out risk assessments and promote safe working practices in placements and enterprise activities
Support employer engagement activities including site visits, speakers, live briefs and work experience opportunities
Monitor student attendance and progress on placement, liaising regularly with employers
Maintain and update employer databases and promote a positive image of the College
Who You Are:
Experience of working with young people with SEND in an education, training or employment setting
A strong understanding of good practice in supporting individuals with SEND in the workplace
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
Ability to assess, track and monitor progress and maintain accurate records
Confidence in supporting employers to make workplaces and tasks accessible
