We are seeking an exceptional and enthusiastic D&T teacher to join a thriving and supportive department within a dynamic, newly established school in West London. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the D&T curriculum from the ground floor, fostering a love of design and innovation in students of all abilities.
About the Role:
- Delivering inspiring and engaging D&T lessons across Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11) in line with the National Curriculum.
- Creating a stimulating and well-resourced D&T environment that promotes creativity, problem-solving and practical skills development.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the D&T curriculum, ensuring it is aligned with the school's vision and ethos.
- Playing a key role in the school's enrichment programme, potentially developing and delivering D&T related clubs or workshops.
- Building strong relationships with students, fostering their confidence and encouraging a growth mindset.
- Contributing to the wider school community and participating in departmental and whole-school events.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified D&T teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging and inspiring students.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for design, technology and innovation.
- Strong practical skills and the ability to deliver engaging and practical lessons in a well-equipped workshop environment.
- A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive and productive learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- A willingness to be part of a growing school and contribute to its ongoing development.
