This role offers the opportunity to work across different locations, supporting our learners and colleagues while helping to deliver an outstanding service across County Durham. Your administrative base will be Crook Civic Centre. However, this is a varied role and regular travel will be required to Chester-le-Street, where DurhamLearn's SEND courses are delivered. Every day, you'll contribute to creating positive opportunities for learners and helping our communities thrive. WHAT IS INVOLVED? We are looking for an enthusiastic Administration Assistant to support our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Team. Working closely with the SEND team on a day-to-day basis, you'll play an important role in ensuring learners receive a high-quality learning experience. You'll use your knowledge of SEND and safeguarding to support administrative processes, identify when action is required, and contribute to the smooth running of the programme. Guided by the SEND Programme Lead, you'll help deliver an efficient and supportive service that makes a real difference to learners across County Durham. We're looking for someone who is:
- Organised, reliable and able to manage a varied workload.
- A confident communicator with excellent administrative skills.
- Committed to providing high-quality support and customer service.
- Passionate about helping people succeed through learning.
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or an equivalent qualification).
- English and Maths at Level 2 or GCSE (or equivalent).
