Job Summary
We are passionate about providing remarkable care and we are looking for people who share our mindset, here in Hampshire's Health Visiting Service. We encourage staff to be innovative and challenge the norm. If you are a Health Visitor and you are looking to join a thriving, diverse, innovative service which puts children, young people, and their families at the centre of all that they do, then this is the job for you. Main Duties of the Job
We are well known for our creative approach in supporting our communities, children and families with great innovations including ChatHealth, our Text Messaging Advice Service; the Parent Portal, an interactive web-based information hub for parents, and our partnership with Barnardo's which offers community-based public health programmes. We are proud of having achieved BFI accreditation at gold standard. We're looking for a qualified Health Visitor (NMC registered) who is highly skilled in communication, with a strong approach to teamwork. The individual will be someone who can lead delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, especially the 6 High Impact Areas, using evidence-based practice. Working as a team player, your role will require excellent assessment skills and effective partnership working to develop personalised care to support your caseload. We are committed to ensuring that our values are the foundation of everything we do. We offer great opportunities for learning and development through a robust induction programme, comprehensive safeguarding and clinical supervision and access to a broad suite of training for professional development. For newly qualified practitioners we have a respected preceptorship programme. We look forward to receiving your application. About Us
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides joined-up mental and physical healthcare for around two million people across our communities. With over 13,000 staff working in the community and local hospitals, we deliver care at every stage of life, helping people live their best and healthiest lives. Our mental health services include community-based support and early intervention in psychosis (EIP) for both adults and young people, alongside a network of specialist inpatient wards covering forensic, learning disability, eating disorder and older person's care. We deliver extensive physical health services too, from urgent community response teams helping frail and older patients remain safely at home, to hospitals at home teams providing acute-level care in familiar surroundings. Our neurological services offer rehabilitation and treatment for conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Head Injury, Cerebral Palsy and Stroke. Across Hampshire, our community hospitals provide inpatient rehabilitation as a step down from acute care, and our dedicated teams also staff Treetops Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Portsmouth, offering expert, compassionate support. Everything we do is underpinned by our CARE values of compassion, accountability, respect and excellence Job Responsibilities
