We are working with a well-established, forward-thinking law firm seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining regulatory excellence within a busy and dynamic conveyancing environment. The Role As Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and strengthening the firm's compliance framework, ensuring adherence to all regulatory and legal obligations within the conveyancing department. Key responsibilities include: Monitoring compliance with SRA Standards & Regulations Managing AML policies, procedures, and file audits Overseeing risk assessments and internal compliance reviews Handling regulatory reporting requirements where necessary Providing guidance and training to fee earners and support staff Reviewing and updating internal policies and procedures Acting as a point of contact for compliance-related queries About You We are looking for someone who: Has proven compliance experience within a conveyancing or property law environment Demonstrates strong knowledge of AML regulations and SRA requirements Has excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Is confident advising senior stakeholders on risk and compliance matters Can work independently while supporting a collaborative team culture COFA or COLP experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
