We are working with our client, a respected insurance firm based in St Peter Port, Guernsey, who is looking to welcome a Commercial Broker / Trainee Commercial Broker into our client’s team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a long-term career in the insurance sector, supporting commercial clients and contributing to the continued success of our client’s business.
Skills
- Commercial awareness – understanding how businesses operate and the types of risks they face, enabling you to support clients with appropriate insurance solutions.
- Client relationship focus – the ability to build trust, communicate clearly and provide a high level of service to commercial customers.
- Attention to detail – carefully reviewing information and documentation to help ensure accuracy in policies and communications.
- Organisational skills – managing multiple tasks, enquiries and deadlines effectively in a busy insurance environment.
- Willingness to learn – particularly relevant for the trainee route, with a mindset geared towards developing knowledge of commercial insurance.
What you’ll do
- Support the placement and management of commercial insurance policies for business clients.
- Assist with gathering client information and preparing documentation for quotations.
- Liaise with insurers and other stakeholders to help secure appropriate cover.
- Provide ongoing administrative and service support to our client’s team.
- Develop your understanding of commercial insurance products and market practices.
