Location: Central London - Victoria
Contract: Permanent, full time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Competitive (Depending on Experience) What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Governance and Quality Lead to provide strategic leadership for quality, patient safety, risk management, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across Imaging Services. This is a unique opportunity to influence governance across Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiotherapy, working within a technologically advanced and rapidly evolving environment that delivers complex diagnostic and therapeutic services. Reporting into the senior Imaging leadership team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care, regulatory compliance, and organisational assurance across some of the most specialised services within the hospital. The Governance and Quality Lead will hold responsibility for the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the integrated governance framework across Imaging Services. The post holder will provide expert advice and assurance to senior clinical, operational, and executive leaders, ensuring services remain safe, effective, patient-centred, and compliant with all relevant statutory, regulatory, and professional requirements. The role will lead the quality, safety, audit, risk, and improvement agenda across the division, driving a culture of continuous learning and excellence. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the post holder will oversee governance systems that support high-risk clinical activities, including ionising radiation, radiopharmaceuticals, and radiotherapy treatments, ensuring risks are identified, managed, and mitigated appropriately. A key component of the role will be leading and maintaining compliance with a range of regulatory and professional standards, including CQC Fundamental Standards, IR(ME)R, IRR17, ARSAC licensing requirements, MHRA guidance, and relevant Royal College recommendations. The successful candidate will provide expert oversight of governance processes relating to incident management, risk assessment, clinical audit, quality improvement, assurance reporting, and organisational learning. The post holder will also be responsible for the strategic leadership of the Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) accreditation programme, ensuring accreditation standards are not simply achieved but fully embedded within routine operational and clinical practice. They will lead preparations for internal and external inspections, accreditation reviews, and regulatory assessments, providing assurance that Imaging Services consistently demonstrate excellence in governance and quality. Beyond regulatory compliance, this role offers the opportunity to influence the future development of Imaging Services at Cleveland Clinic London. The successful candidate will work alongside clinical and operational leaders to strengthen governance systems that support service growth, innovation, new technologies, and the continued expansion of specialist diagnostic and cancer services. The role is primarily Monday to Friday during core office hours, although flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the service and support key governance, assurance, and quality activities when required.
