Complex Needs Teaching Assistant

Pay: £90 – £105 per day

A welcoming and inclusive school in Caversham is seeking a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who require additional support to access learning and develop key life skills.
In this role, you will work closely with pupils who have a range of complex needs, supporting them both in and out of the classroom. You will help create a structured, nurturing environment where students feel safe, supported, and able to thrive.
As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex needs
• Support children with SEN, including autism (ASD) and communication difficulties
• Help maintain a calm, consistent, and supportive classroom environment
• Assist in implementing personalised learning and behaviour strategies
• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
The school is looking for someone who has experience working with children, ideally within an SEN, care, or support-based role, and who is committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential.
Experience supporting children with ASD and an understanding of SEN strategies would be highly advantageous.
You will be joining a supportive and friendly team, with access to ongoing training and opportunities to develop your career within education.
