We are working with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in the BS15 area that is seeking dedicated, resilient, and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young people who require additional emotional and behavioural support to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. About the Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who may have experienced barriers to learning and require tailored support to help them engage with education. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting students in the classroom on a one-to-one and small group basisBuilding positive, trusting relationships with pupilsEncouraging emotional regulation and positive behaviourAssisting teachers in delivering engaging lessonsSupporting students' academic, social, and emotional developmentHelping to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment What We're Looking For Previous experience working with children or young people is essential Experience within an SEMH, SEN, alternative provision, care, youth work, or support work setting is highly desirable A calm, patient, and resilient approach Strong communication and relationship-building skills The ability to remain positive and adaptable in challenging situations A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers and achieve their potential What's on Offer?
