Aspiring Psychologist Location: Barking and Dagenham Are you an Aspiring Psychologist looking to gain valuable practical experience working with children and young people with additional needs? You will work closely with pupils, teachers, therapists, and other professionals to help children achieve their educational, social, and emotional goals. This role offers excellent education and training opportunities for an aspiring psychologist who wants to develop their understanding of special educational needs and gain hands-on experience in a supportive school environment. The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will: Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils. Help children engage with learning and classroom activities. Support pupils with their communication, social, emotional, and behavioural development. Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils. Work alongside teachers and specialist staff to deliver individualised support. Gain practical education and training relevant to psychology and other helping professions. Develop valuable experience within a specialist educational setting. About You We are particularly interested in candidates who are considering a career in psychology, education, therapy, social care, or a related field. Previous experience is beneficial but is not essential - enthusiasm, patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support young people are what matter most. The role provides excellent education and training and an opportunity to develop transferable skills that can support your future career as an Aspiring Psychologist.
