Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities . We work hard to enriching the lives of people with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do.
Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’.About You
The Community Living Project aims to enable individuals to lead the most independent lives possible and supports the development of skills and achieving outcomes agreed within person-centred support plans. We have extensive experience in working with people to address any complexities and challenges that may exist in everyday life. This helps us to ensure that we can provide good practical support to individuals while ensuring that people have choice and control over their own lives. The service provision is managed locally in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire and is staffed by experienced, trained staff, who are provided with person-specific inductions and training to ensure the highest quality support is delivered. We are proud to offer support that is flexible and adaptable and work with individuals to ensure each support plan is up to date, reflecting how the person would like to live and what support is required to do so. We offer Housing Support as well as Social Support for all ages from 18 years to Elderly age, with a mixture of abilities and desires. Our support is very flexible and is delivered at an agreed time to suit individuals, and covers a broad range of activities. In Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire we support over 100 people, which requires a large team of support staff. We provide support from Monday to Sunday between 8am to 6pm. We are currently recruiting for full-time and part-time roles. A UK driving license is not required for this role, but a good understanding of public transport is important. One of the values of Community Integrated Care is our passion for our people and every year we invest in our front-line worker pay in line with the Living Wage increase each April. Our promise has always been clear: we will do everything in our power to improve pay for colleagues. This role is providing visiting support in the community.
You may be supporting someone living on their own, or with partner or even with their family. The support we provide is across various areas within the Aberdeen community and for example can include areas in Torry, Northfield/Summerhill/Mastrick, Seaton, Bridge of Don, Garthdee, Cults etc to name a few. Ideally we are looking for experienced personnel due to some of the complexities and behavioural challenges of the people we support.
Working for Us
The people we support like to be supported by people who respect them and their homes, but who also like to have fun! We like people who are reliable and honest, so the people we support can build trust and know that you have their best interests at heart. It’s important that you are reliable and honest and can communicate well with everyone.
