We are excited to announce the position of theatre deputy team leader for Heathcote Theatres, a dedicated elective obstetrics, breast and gynaecology surgery unit compromising of two theatres. Are you an experienced Band 5 scrub practitioner looking to take the next step in your career? Are you an existing band 6 scrub practitioner looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated nurse/ ODP to support in the leadership of the theatre team of Heathcote Theatres who will also provide senior support to the RHCH Main Theatres' team when working outside of core hours including nights and weekend shifts. Excellent team working and communication skills are essential for this role along with a need to establish and maintain good working relationships within the multidisciplinary team and wider services to work collaboratively and co-operatively to enhance quality of care. The successful candidate will provide direction and inspirational leadership to junior members of the multidisciplinary team; they will also be expected to work as an expert clinical practitioner providing high quality of care to patients and service users. The postholder will support the theatre team leader in the management of general resources, both personnel and financial and to ensure the effective operation of the department whilst maintaining high professional and clinical standards. To work predominantly in the scrub role to support Theatre Team Leader(s) in leading and managing the service within the department effectively and to deputise in their absence.To manage general resources, both personnel and financial, to ensure the effective operation of the department.The post holder will provide skilled specialist assistance in the delivery of high-quality patient care throughout the Operating Department. The post holder will be committed to providing research and evidence-based practice whilst working as part of, and leading a multi professional team. About us
