About the Role

* SEND Teaching Assistant
* 8.30 until 3.30
* This role will helping with day to day supply needs and long term supply
* Support pupils with complex needs, personal care and helping the pupils with their school day.
* Pre-school to post 16- Having moving and handling training would be an advantage or having experience working in care.
* Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and structured lessons.
* Supporting pupils one-to-one or in small groups to enhance learning.
* Promoting positive behaviour and helping to create an inclusive classroom environment.
* Preparing learning resources and assisting with classroom organization.
* Supporting children with additional learning needs where required.

Person Specification

To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:

* A L2/L3 Teaching Assistant qualification and/or exceptional relatable experience of working as a Teaching Assistant.
* Experience of working as a teaching Assistant in a British curriculum school for a minimum of two terms.
* Full enhanced DBS certificate.
* Completion of the Connex Education Onboarding Process.
* The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teaching assistant.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong rapport building skills, with pupils and with co-workers.
* A minimum of 2 school based references
