We are delighted to partner with a thriving secondary school in Poole, Dorset, as they seek a dynamic and dedicated French and Spanish Teacher to join their faculty on a full-time, permanent basis starting in September 2024.

About the Role:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified and experienced French and Spanish teacher to contribute to a well-established language department committed to fostering a love of language and culture in their students. The successful candidate will have the chance to teach French and Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for A-Level teaching depending on qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in French and Spanish, aligned with the national curriculum and school's objectives.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, curiosity, and cultural understanding.
• Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the language department and across the wider school community to enhance the language curriculum and student experience.
• Participate in departmental and whole-school activities, including extracurricular language clubs and events.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in French and Spanish, ideally with experience teaching both languages at the secondary level.
• A passion for language learning and a commitment to fostering cultural appreciation in students.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
