Teaching Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming school in Worksop that is looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant.

The successful Teaching Assistant will provide general classroom support, working closely with the class teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment. You will support pupils with their classroom activities, help them remain focused on their learning and provide additional guidance where required.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who enjoys building positive relationships with pupils and wants to make a genuine difference within the classroom.

Must Have Relevant Teaching Qualifications.

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

• Have experience supporting children or young people
• Be confident providing general classroom support
• Work effectively alongside teachers and other support staff
• Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Be patient, reliable and enthusiastic
• Be committed to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment

The role will include:

• Supporting the class teacher with lesson activities
• Helping pupils remain engaged and focused
• Working with individuals and small groups
• Preparing classroom resources
• Supporting positive behaviour
• Encouraging pupils’ confidence and independence
