Mobile Engineer - IOS

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Gymshark’s customer-facing iOS application using production Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• Implement features within a modular codebase while applying Clean Architecture and MVVM principles.
• Write unit tests and test doubles as part of normal development work.
• Use Swift concurrency safely and diagnose production issues using crash reporting and analytics.
• Consider performance, accessibility, app size, security, and third-party dependency risk when completing work.
• Understand and contribute to the CI, review, distribution, and App Store submission lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to refine stories, break work into valuable increments, and raise delivery risks early.
• Demonstrate work to non-technical stakeholders, document solutions, share learning, and collaborate with adjacent teams including Android.

Requirements

• Several years of experience writing Swift for a production customer-facing app.
• SwiftUI work that has been released live in the App Store.
• Experience working with other engineers in an established codebase.
• Routine experience writing unit tests for production code.
• Experience resolving a production issue.
• Experience with consumer or e-commerce apps at scale is desirable.
• Experience with a UIKit-to-SwiftUI migration is desirable.
• Production experience with feature flagging and experimentation is desirable.
• Kotlin or another second platform experience sufficient to collaborate with the Android team is desirable.
