Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Cleveland
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 Months
Rate: 550 per day - Inside IR35
My client is looking for an experienced Freelance Managing Surveyor with a strong background in civil engineering and infrastructure to join their busy team.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the commercial management of projects, working closely with the project and site teams to maximise profitability and deliver projects successfully.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the commercial and surveying aspects of civils projects.
Handle valuations, applications, variations, final accounts and cost reporting.
Manage subcontractor accounts, procurement and commercial negotiations.
Monitor budgets, forecasts, cash flow, risks and opportunities.
Provide contractual and commercial advice to the project team.
Ensure accurate measurement, records and commercial documentation.
Experience Required
Previous experience as a Managing Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor within civils.
Background in highways, infrastructure, utilities, groundworks or similar civil engineering projects.
Strong knowledge of commercial management, measurement, valuations, subcontracting and contract administration.
