Customer Service Advisor
Are you an experienced Customer Service Advisor with a background in internal sales or customer support? Do you enjoy building strong customer relationships, solving problems and delivering excellent service?
We’re looking for a motivated and organised individual to join our clients busy Customer Service team in Glasgow. You’ll play a key role in supporting customers from enquiry through to order fulfilment, ensuring a smooth and professional experience while working closely with colleagues across sales, engineering and operations.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Responding to customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Preparing accurate quotations in line with agreed pricing structures.
- Processing customer orders using the ERP system.
- Reviewing orders to ensure all customer requirements can be fulfilled.
- Keeping customers updated on delivery schedules and any changes.
- Providing advice on suitable products, alternatives and new product ranges.
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure product availability and on-time delivery.
- Supporting customers with technical queries by working alongside the engineering team where required.
- Delivering a high standard of after-sales support.
- Building long-term relationships with customers through excellent service.
- Working towards departmental objectives and maintaining compliance with company quality and health & safety procedures.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Previous experience in a Customer Service, Internal Sales or Sales Support role.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience using an ERP system.
- A positive, proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
Desirable
- NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Customer Service.
- Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, industrial or technical environment.
- Knowledge of engineering or industrial products.
