This is a primarily clinical role within Lena By Inspire, working alongside and supporting the clinical, operational, and account management teams in the delivery of high-quality, person-centred, safe, effective, and responsive therapeutic programmes of care. The post-holder will support helpline delivery during operational hours, undertake structured triage and clinical assessment including risk assessment, coordinate and allocate referrals to Associate Counsellors, hold and manage a clinical caseload, and deliver brief, time-limited, solution-focused/ high intensity therapeutic interventions within an Employee/Student Assistance Programme model.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with Clinical, Business Support teams, and Account Management teams to support safe and effective service delivery
- Support the management of referrals, including coordinating and allocating referrals to Associate Counsellors as required
- Deliver time-limited solution focused or high intensity therapeutic interventions to clients experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties including work related stress and situational anxiety and depression
- Deliver time limited counselling across organisational and contracted services to include adults and young people attending university or further and higher educational colleges
- Routinely administer and score standardised outcome measures, including CORE, GAD-7, PHQ-9, and PCL-5, and maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records on Lena By Inspire’s case management system within 24 hours of the last session
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- To be flexible as the role involves working at various locations to meet service needs. This may involve working remotely, virtually and face to face.
- Possess a full current driving licence and access to a car. Business Insurance may be required for the role.
- Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a drivers licence.
- Diploma level qualification in Counselling covering Psycho-dynamic, CBT and Humanistic models of intervention or a Person Centred Approach and full clinical accreditation with a voluntary assured registration Body in Counselling.
- Psychotherapy (BACP CAT B /IACP, IAHIP,NCPS professional registrant accreditation, UKCP, BABCP or equivalent) Practitioner Psychologists should be registered with the HCPC or PSI.
- Ability to manage your own caseload, time and routinely monitor outcomes, and data to ensure service needs are met.
- Knowledge and experience of working with clients with mild/moderate mental health conditions (to include students and young people).
- Experience in allocation and coordination of referrals ensuring clients are matched appropriately to clinicians based on need, risk, and therapeutic interventions.
- Ability to carry out structured triage and / or assessment and determining appropriate clinical pathways.
- An understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection and Vulnerable Adults in need of protection policies and procedures.
- Assessment, management and escalation of risk and liaising with GP’s, multidisciplinary mental health and allied professionals.
- Proficient IT skills with a knowledge of client information management and systems.
- Clear understanding of clinical governance, GDPR and confidentiality requirements.
