Interim Finance Business Partner
I'm pleased to be supporting a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire that is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Business Partner to join their team.
The Role
- Finance Business Partner
- Nottinghamshire District Council Hybrid/Remote Working
- 6–12 month contract ASAP Start
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a finance business partner to designated service areas and budget holders.
- Support budget monitoring, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Assist with budget setting and year–end processes.
- Produce and review reconciliations, including debtor and control account reconciliations.
- Process journals and support monthly financial reporting.
- Attend meetings with managers and stakeholders across assigned directorates.
- Support small finance projects and service improvement initiatives.
- Escalate complex issues to senior finance colleagues where required.
Essential Experience
- Local government finance experience.
- Budget monitoring and forecasting.
- Reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Stakeholder management and business partnering.
- The ability to manage workload independently.

- Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn.
- Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
