Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time GSL Education are delighted to be partnering with a supportive and inclusive school in the Rotherham area to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) . This role is ideal for individuals with resilience, empathy, and a strong passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those who may present with additional behavioural or emotional needs. Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant: * Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with SEN.
* Implement effective strategies to support learning, engagement, and emotional regulation.
* Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils as a consistent role model.
* Support students with additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
* Promote inclusive learning by adapting tasks and creating a nurturing environment. Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant Role: * Experience working with SEN, SEND, or challenging behaviour.
* Ability to remain calm, patient, and supportive in a range of situations.
* Understanding of safeguarding, inclusive education, and behaviour support strategies.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, childcare, or Psychology degree) are desirable.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or completing an application for a new check.
