Hello! My name is Dawn Gogan and I am the team manager of the older peoples community mental health team in Wakefield. Thank you for taking the time to look at this job advert for a team secretary. We are looking for a self motivated, flexible, organised individual to join our team, could this be you?
Our team is an integrated team with staff employed both by the NHS and the local authority. There are several different disciplines within the team including doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists and support workers. We work as a team to provide recovery focused client centred care to all the service users we work with. Our service hours are 8:30-16:30.
All employees of the Trust are strongly encouraged to have their up-to-date flu vaccination to protect staff and patients.
Main duties of the job
Admin staff are valued, key members of our team, supporting staff members and the wider team with admin tasks crucial to ensure smooth administration of the team. The successful candidate will be based within Drury Lane health and wellbeing centre. Team secretaries are often the first point of contact for service users, carers, family and both internal and external services.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, always be empathetic and professional ensuring confidentiality.
Excellent IT skills are needed for this role. These skills will be used to input information into both SystmOne (healthcare system) and Care Director (Local authority system) including registering and discharging referrals, taking, transcribing and distributing minutes, rotas, typing reports and letters and scanning documents and booking appointments.
