The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support students with a range of additional learning needs both in and out of the classroom.
- Build positive, trusting relationships that help students develop confidence and independence.
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support.
- Follow Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Encourage student engagement, wellbeing, and academic progress in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has:
- Experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs, or a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
- An understanding of EHCPs or a willingness to learn how to implement personalised learning strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, resilience, and a positive attitude.
- The ability to adapt to different situations and respond to students' individual needs.
- A proactive approach and a commitment to helping every child succeed.
