This is an excellent opportunity for someone with British Sign Language (BSL) skills who is passionate about supporting children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and helping pupils thrive in the classroom. The Role As a BSL Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with hearing impairmentsUse British Sign Language (BSL) to support communication and learningHelp pupils access lessons and classroom activitiesSupport social development, confidence, and independenceWork closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionalsCreate a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment Requirements To be considered for this BSL Teaching Assistant role, you should have: BSL Level 3 qualification or above (preferred)Experience working with children, young people, or within educationExperience supporting pupils with SEMH & SENDExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA calm, patient, and nurturing approach Experience in roles such as Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, or Communication Support Worker is highly desirable.
