Vendor Program Strategy Director

ICON Strategic Solutions seeks a Vendor Program Strategy Director to serve as business partner for vendor activities within a sponsor-dedicated clinical operations model. The role involves end-to-end accountability for supplier performance across the clinical study lifecycle, strategic alignment with internal stakeholders, and oversight of vendor productivity and program budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end vendor accountability across clinical study lifecycle from start-up through closeout
• Define and align program vendor strategies with Clinical Operational Program Head, Portfolio Innovation Director, and Procurement
• Monitor supplier performance against defined strategy and manage escalated program-level issues
• Engage vendors early during protocol development and identify future service needs in advance
• Oversee vendor productivity targets and manage program budgets according to defined objectives

Requirements

• Advanced degree in science or business, or equivalent industry experience
• 10+ years relevant clinical operations or outsourced trial management experience
• Executive leadership experience managing external and internal strategic relationships
• Deep knowledge of clinical trial methodology, GCP, trial monitoring, and regulatory standards
• Strong technical problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills
• Proven ability to facilitate multidisciplinary teams and enable international collaboration
