PE Teacher - Birmingham - January 2026
A large, high-achieving 11–18 secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated and energetic Teacher of Physical Education to join its successful Sports faculty from January 2026 .
The school, rated Good by Ofsted, is known for its inclusive ethos, high participation in sport and excellent pastoral support. Students enjoy a diverse range of physical activities, and PE plays a key role in developing teamwork, confidence and wellbeing.
The Role
You’ll deliver PE across KS3–KS4 and contribute to GCSE and BTEC Sport courses. You’ll also support extra-curricular clubs and inter-school competitions, helping students of all abilities develop a lifelong enjoyment of sport.
Facilities
The school benefits from an extensive PE complex including a sports hall, fitness suite, outdoor pitches and access to athletics facilities. PE staff have excellent support from leadership and freedom to develop new initiatives within the programme.

- QTS or equivalent in PE or Sport Science.
- Passion for promoting health, fitness and participation.
- Strong organisational and team-working skills.
- Enthusiasm for extra-curricular activities and whole-school events.
