GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Rotherham . This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who may need additional help managing emotions, behaviour, and engagement in learning. As a Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA) , you will work closely with pupils to provide encouragement, structure, and tailored support within the classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: * Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs.
* Help pupils develop emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
* Build strong and trusting relationships to encourage confidence and engagement.
* Support teachers in delivering adapted learning activities.
* Promote a calm, safe, and supportive learning environment.
* Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff. Essential Requirements of SEMH TA: * Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour.
* Calm, patient, and resilient approach.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain consistent and supportive in challenging situations.
* Genuine commitment to supporting pupils' wellbeing and development.
