About Us: Our 'Good' Ofsted rated school in Reading is committed to providing an outstanding educational experience within a supportive and stimulating environment. We are currently seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join our team and inspire our students through dynamic science instruction.
The Role: We are looking for a Science Teacher who is passionate about science and eager to engage students with compelling lessons. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a curriculum that encourages scientific exploration and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver effective Science lessons following the national curriculum.
- Foster a positive, interactive classroom environment that supports student learning and engagement.
- Assess student performance and provide feedback to guide their academic growth.
- Inspire students with a love for science and encourage a deep understanding of the subject.
- Contribute to the development of the science curriculum and departmental strategies.
- Engage in continuous professional development and collaborate with the teaching team.
- Lead or assist with extracurricular science activities and enrichment opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Science or a relevant discipline.
- Experience in teaching Science at secondary school level is preferred.
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- A strong passion for science and dedication to enhancing student learning.
Desirable:
- Experience teaching across various science subjects.
- Ability to lead science clubs or extracurricular projects.
- Familiarity with modern teaching tools and technology.
