Pay Rate: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

Are you able to look beyond challenging behaviour and help young people develop the skills to manage difficult situations more positively?

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are supporting schools throughout Doncaster in finding calm and approachable Behaviour Support . We are interested in individuals who can establish constructive relationships with pupils, recognise factors that may influence behaviour, and provide consistent guidance that helps young people remain engaged with their education.

The Behaviour Support role focuses on reducing barriers to learning by helping pupils develop self-regulation, improve their interactions with others, and respond more effectively to challenging situations.

Behaviour Support Responsibilities:

* Establish clear expectations and positive working relationships with pupils
* Recognise behavioural triggers and respond with appropriate intervention strategies
* Implement individual behaviour plans and agreed approaches consistently
* Redirect students towards learning following periods of disruption or disengagement
* Record incidents, progress, and relevant observations for pastoral and teaching staff
* Communicate with colleagues to ensure pupils receive coordinated support

Behaviour Support Requirements:

* Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs
* Knowledge of positive behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
* Confidence responding appropriately when situations become challenging
* Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building rapport with pupils
* Resilient, consistent, and solution-focused approach to student support
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
