People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our client's well-established transport team based in Motherwell .

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category C+E Driver, CE Driver, Trunk Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver, Distribution Driver or Store Delivery Driver .

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Operating Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently - Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and completing all required documentation - Loading and delivering goods between designated locations - Operating double-decker trailers where required - Ensuring all loads are secured safely before transport - Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers - Adhering to all road traffic legislation, health and safety procedures and company policies - Completing all delivery paperwork accurately and on time
Essential Skills
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:
- A valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence - A valid UK CPC Qualification Card - A valid Digital Tachograph Card - No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD or CD endorsements) - A reliable, professional and punctual attitude - A good level of physical fitness to carry out manual handling duties where required - A good understanding of road safety and transport compliance
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience within retail or distribution deliveries - Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience
Training Provided
- Full onboarding support provided - Paid two-day site induction - Ongoing driver support and development throughout your assignment
