Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:45 PM

Do you have experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant and a strong commitment to supporting children with complex ASD needs?

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Tower Hamlets .

This rewarding role involves providing tailored 1:1 support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and high-level needs. The successful candidate will support pupils in accessing learning, building confidence, and developing essential social and communication skills within a structured, caring, and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA):

* Provide dedicated 1:1 support for students with complex ASD needs
* Support students' academic, emotional, and social development
* Assist students in accessing classroom activities and learning tasks
* Implement personalised support strategies and behaviour plans
* Build strong and positive relationships with students
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff
* Support communication, sensory, and emotional regulation needs
* Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements of an SEN Teaching Assistant:

* Minimum 1 year experience supporting children with high-needs ASD
* Recent primary school-based experience
* Experience supporting SEN students on a 1:1 basis
* Calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting learners
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
